Brave Teaser Trailer

The Brave teaser trailer is here!!! And teaser is the correct word for it since we only see Princess Merida and the mysterious bear from the first working title "The Bear and the Bow" which was later changed to Brave. I'm loving the look of the Scottish Highlands as the setting for this film and can't wait to get to know Princess Merida. How long until June 2012? Oh yeah, it's a whole year away! Bummer...until then, watch the trailer.

First Look at Princess Merida from Brave

So far, we'd only seen her hidden or obscured by that fiery red hair but this time around, we get our first look at Princess Merida in a rendered hi-res image.  Pixar's first featured heroine, it's been a long time coming.  I can't believe this doesn't release until next year.  So until then, feast your eyes on this photograph and I hope the Brave teaser gets released online soon so I can post it here.  I'm incredibly curious about the story!

First Look: The Hobbit new photos

It's photos like this that make LoTR fans nostalgic and anticipate The Hobbit movies as much as they did the original trilogy because let's face it, it's Peter Jackson and Tolkien.  The combination doesn't disappoint.

The first film, The Hobbit: The Unexpected Journey will release on December 14, 2012 and its sequel, The Hobbit: There and Back Again will open on December 13, 2013.

First Look: Pixar's Brave Teaser Poster

Lots of news to report today and so let's get blogging!!

Entertainment Weekly (EW) just unveiled the first look at the teaser photo of Brave, Pixar's original feature film debuting next year.  One of the main reasons I've been looking forward to this film in what seems like forever is the first female lead character in Pixar flick and co-directed by a female director, Brenda Chapman.

This gorgeous poster already promises what the concept art has already shown us, this one looks to bring  us right in the middle of the Scottish Highlands and I hope Princess Merida teaches us a thing or two about the title, Brave.  I'm already loving the tagline, Change your fate.  Love this!  

Movie Review: Green Lantern

Thanks to Warner Bros., courtesy of whom I got tickets to catch the 3D screening of Green Lantern.  After months of being teased about Ryan Reynolds and his amazing abs, it was time to see what the fuss what all about.  Unfortunately, it seemed that the movie was all about setting things up for the sequel and not focusing enough on the current flick.  

Notice all those Green Lanterns up on the poster above, well, that's only where you'll see most of them as most of them make brief appearances in the movie.  The film shows us how an ordinary human, Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds) becomes a Green Lantern, a protector of the universe.  It's all about his journey to believe in himself and overcoming his fears.  I personally would liked to see more of the other Green Lanterns instead it seemed that one sole Green Lantern is enough to save the entire universe.  Even the action that took place on Earth seemed a bit bizarre.  What is the whole deal with Hector Hammond (Peter Sarsgaard) and why does he look so old when is supposed to be the same age as Hal and Carol Ferris (Blake Lively)?  And do not get me started on Lively, who is basically playing her Gossip Girl character, Serena's tamer version.  Very very bland.  The only saving grace of this movie are the action sequences which looked quite cool in 3D.  That's it.  

In a summer filled with superhero movies, I'm afraid this one won't be remembered much despite Reynolds and his spectacular abs.
